ESRB rates Final Fantasy VII for PS3 and PSP

According to Joystiq PlayStation, the ESRB has recently rated Final Fantasy VII for both PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3, confirming Square-Enix's intention of rereleasing the PSone title outside Japan. FFVII International was made available on the PlayStation Store back in April, and while it's possible to acquire the game in all its foreign language glory, many fans have eagerly awaited a localized downloadable release.

With ebay sellers wanting extravagant amounts for the original game, a release of the title on PSN would be a great opportunity for new gamers to experience Final Fantasy VII for the very first time and for older veterans to have a legal way of keeping it in their pocket.

While no date has been announced (or indication that it will come to the European Store), this would be a great title to go alongside the E3 announcement of the download only PSP Go.

Buy a PS3 at GameStop, Get AC Complete for Free

GameStop will be running a special promotion when Advent Children Complete releases in North America next week: an 80GB PlayStation 3 bundled with the movie for the price of $399.99. There will be no similar bundle for the 160GB PS3, nor will the 80GB one sport special packaging.

This pack-in deal will only be available for a limited time, and seems designed to boost PS3 sales. AC Complete comes out on Tuesday, June 2nd; funnily enough, this is the same day as Sony's E3 press conference. For those of you out there who already have Blu-ray players and are planning to get AC Complete, Amazon.com is taking preorders for the low price of $22.99.

The official North American site for Advent Children Complete is now online. Aside from a story synopsis and character information for Cloud, Sephiroth, Kadaj, Tifa, Denzel, and Marlene, there isn't much content right now, though we expect this to change as the June 2nd release date draws even closer.

Int'l Releases of AC Complete Won't Include FFXIII Demo

Advent Children Complete and Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase has confirmed what many have speculated for a little while now: the FFXIII demo that came with certain versions of AC Complete will not be included with the Blu-ray outside of Japan. The reason behind this is because: "we are going to carry on with the project (FFXIII) alongside the Xbox version, so we really can't just make it available only for the PS3." However, this does not mean that Westerners will not be getting any sort of FFXIII demo at all, as Square Enix is currently exploring the possibility of a downloadable one.

As a reminder, AC Complete comes out in North America on June 2nd; a release date (or dates) for PAL regions have not yet been announced.
