05/29/2009: "Buy a PS3 at GameStop, Get AC Complete for Free"

GameStop will be running a special promotion when Advent Children Complete releases in North America next week: an 80GB PlayStation 3 bundled with the movie for the price of $399.99. There will be no similar bundle for the 160GB PS3, nor will the 80GB one sport special packaging.

This pack-in deal will only be available for a limited time, and seems designed to boost PS3 sales. AC Complete comes out on Tuesday, June 2nd; funnily enough, this is the same day as Sony's E3 press conference. For those of you out there who already have Blu-ray players and are planning to get AC Complete, Amazon.com is taking preorders for the low price of $22.99.

I wouldn't preorder this incase the rumors come true and Sony announce a PS3 slim $50-$100 cheaper than the current model. Even if its a few months till its release, you will still save cash than getting a $22 Blu-ray free with a $399 machine.
