Fanfiction: Sweet as Candy, A day on the farm and Sacrifices update

We have a nice round of new additions to the Fanfiction Archive today, with two new writers joining out midst. First up we have Hirondelle, who has sent in her short story. "Sweet as Candy" is an illustration of Sephiroth's thoughts, five years ago at Nibelheim, where he finds -and loses- something as sweet as candy. It's a great read so check it out. Rated PG-13.

Next we welcome Jacinth Nun to the Citadel. His short, "A day on the farm", is a humorous tale suggesting how the party may have actually discovered the Choco/Mog materia and stars Cloud, Barrett and Yuffie. It's rated G and is a good laugh, so give it a read.

Finally, they're not all short stories with the next addition to Yuronova's "Sacrifices". This is the second to last chapter, so expect the conclusion to appear on the Citadel soon!

Thank you to every one who submitted their work to the Citadel. As usual, if you have an article or a piece of fanfiction you would like to send in, please make sure you read the submission policies first.

Crisis Core Scans, Materia System Details

Jeux-France has posted a set of new Crisis Core scans from Famitsu, featuring all-new screenshots and the confirmed appearance of yet another character from the original FFVII (potential spoilers, of course). Also featured are images of the summon Phoenix, as well as details about CC's materia system. It seems that not only can materia be obtained, but they can also be combined to make new ones or modify certain objects.

This Month's Theme, Crisis Core Screenshots, More

For the month of July, our theme is Red XIII (aka Nanaki) and features a header banner by Citadel contributor Enkida. Last month's theme has been archived and can now be seen along with the others on the Tenth Anniversary page.

A smattering of updates today: Red XIII has been added to the Character Compedium, three screenshots and an official wallpaper have been added to Crisis Core Images & Media, the "Shinra Company" official wallpapers can now be found via the Advent Children Images & Media page, the AC Merchandise and Collectables listing now includes entries for the upcoming Masterpiece Arts dolls and the second series of Play Arts figures, and the page Regarding Vincent's Age in the Secrets & Mysteries section has been updated to account for an odd Dirge of Cerberus-related detail.
