Strategy | Bestiary | Chocobos

Chocobos vary depending on what area of the world they are in. Listed below are some stats for chocobos as they can be found all over the world—including their quality, which is important for chocobo breeding. Chocobo quality rankings are: Terrible, Poor, So-So, Average, Not Bad, Good, Great, and Wonderful.

Please note that chocobos cannot be killed; if they are attacked during battle, they will end up running away. As such, statistics like EXP, AP, Gil, as well as items won, stolen, and/or morphed do not apply to them. In addition, chocobos carry the enemy skill Chocobuckle, which is most easily obtained from a chocobo whose level is a multiple of four. Please refer to the Enemy Skills page if you'd like to learn how to obtain Chocobuckle.

For more information about chocobos, please see the Chocobo Breeding Guide and Chocobo Square Guide.

NOTE: Some areas are listed more than once, due to more than one level of chocobo appearing in that part of the world.
