A Mini Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction Competition

The FFVII Citadel is holding a small Kingdom Hearts-themed competition, with official Kingdom Hearts desktop calendars as the prizes! Imported from Japan and only produced for a limited time, these 2007 calendars come in the form of a small hardcover book and stand; each two-page spread covers a calendar month and features full-color artwork by Kingdom Hearts manga artist Shiro Amano.

To win one of these calendars, you must simply write a drabble-- a miniature fanfic that's exactly one hundred (100) words in length. This drabble can be either Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy VII-themed, but if you decide to set it in the KH world, at least one of the FFVII characters featured in that series (Aerith, Cloud, Cid, Tifa, Yuffie, and/or Sephiroth) must be present.

The authors of the three best entries will each receieve a calendar.

Competition Rules:

1. As stated above, the fanfic must be set in either the Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy VII worlds. If Kingdom Hearts-themed, at least one of that game's FFVII characters must be present.


2. Also, fanfics should conform to the drabble format and be exactly 100 words long (not including a title, which is strictly optional).


3. Entries can be sent either in the body of an email or as an attachment. The only acceptable file formats for attachments are .htm/.html, .doc, .rtf, and .txt. Links to entries will not be accepted.


4. Entries with "mature" or "adult" content will not be accepted. Please refer to the Citadel's General Submission Policies for further information.


5. All entries must be sent to ff7citadel@ff7citadel.com, and must include the subject "Kingdom Hearts Competition". When sending your entry, please include your pen name and a personal link (if available). Only one entry will be accepted per person.


6. The deadline for all entries is midnight (GMT), December 21st, 2006 midnight (GMT), December 28th, 2006.


7. Staff members of the FFVII Citadel, the Citadel Forums, and the Citadel deviantART club, as well as webmasters of affiliated sites, may not enter the competition.


8. Only the original author of a work should send in an entry. Any entry which is found to be stolen, copied, or otherwise plagarized from another author/source will be immediately disqualified.


9. Any entry which doesn't meet these rules will be thrown out without notice.
