Kingdom Hearts: CoM Remake Rumored for US, Crisis Core Sales Update
Via GAF, we've learned that 1UP has posted a rumor that the PlayStation 2 remake of the Game Boy Advance title Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories will make its way to the US, where it would retail for $29.99. Chain of Memories takes place between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, and features cameos by FFVII's Cloud, Aerith, Cid, and Yuffie; FFVIII's Squall; and the Final Fantasy series' lovable Moogles. The remade version was originally included with Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+; however, please note that Final Mix+ itself is not mentioned in this rumor as a possible US release.
Next up: a report on how well Crisis Core has been selling. As of this writing, it is the third all-time bestselling PSP game in Japan, after Capcom titles Monster Hunter 2nd G and Monster Hunter 2nd. Crisis Core is also a big seller in the West, even months after its release. According to Gamasutra's most recent roundup of Amazon sales data, it is currently the top-selling PSP game in the US, and in the UK, it is second only to Sony's own God of War: Chains of Olympus.
