Final Fantasy VII Citadel Facebook Group

The Final Fantasy VII Citadel has always been about its community, the vast amount of people who have contributed to the site over the last ten years and the folks who post on our message boards. To that end, its not always easy to stay in contact with the people you meet here, and quite often you fall out of touch with them. Providing a solution to this problem, long term member Uncle Elmo has set up "FF7 Citadeliers Reunited", a group on the popular social networking site Facebook aimed bringing everyone together to see how their lives have changed in the past decade. Check it out!

Tokyo Game Show 2008: Advent Children Complete

Another trailer for Advent Children Complete was shown at the Square-Enix closed mega theater during this years Tokyo Game Show. Joystiq is reporting that new scenes focus on showing the children of Edge and developing the character of Kadaj. A new flashback with Zack was also shown, as well as the extended fight sequence between Cloud and Sephiroth that we were previously aware of.

More interesting however is the report from Christian Nutt of Gamasutra on the 1UP Yours Podcast, that Complete will include a new short movie based two years after the events of Advent Children, which was briefly mentioned in Japanese text at the end of the trailer.

Tokyo Game Show 2008: LittleBigPlanet's Sephiroth Sackboy

Media Molecule recently revealed two custom Sackboys they created for their upcoming PS3 exclusive LittleBigPlanet: Solid Snake, specifically "Old Snake" from Metal Gear Solid 4, and FFVII's Sephiroth. As of this writing, it's unknown if and when these Sackboys will be made available; currently, outfits to create Sackperson versions of Heavenly Sword's Nariko and God of War's Kratos can be obtained by preordering the game at specific retailers.

As for how the Sephiroth Sackboy came about, Media Molecule's Alex Evans says: "It all started with the Helghast thing. It was really funny because we were aware of a lot of possibilities of who we could work with. I remember the first time that Final Fantasy was mentioned, and there was a bet over whether it would be happened since it’s such a precious franchise." Later, he added: "(Final Fantasy is) a whole universe, and they’ve built up this ethos. And we’re honored to be let into that universe."
