10/13/2008: "Tokyo Game Show 2008: Advent Children Complete"

Another trailer for Advent Children Complete was shown at the Square-Enix closed mega theater during this years Tokyo Game Show. Joystiq is reporting that new scenes focus on showing the children of Edge and developing the character of Kadaj. A new flashback with Zack was also shown, as well as the extended fight sequence between Cloud and Sephiroth that we were previously aware of.

More interesting however is the report from Christian Nutt of Gamasutra on the 1UP Yours Podcast, that Complete will include a new short movie based two years after the events of Advent Children, which was briefly mentioned in Japanese text at the end of the trailer.

Cool. I wonder if with all the new scenes are they going to redo the English voice track and with actual lip syncing. I doubt it, but I honestly don't mind if they don't, the Japanese was better. Though I did like Mr. Burton and Ms. Cook. (I was a fan of their's since before AC.)

I think I know what this short film might be. I've read somewhere that "On the Way to a Smile" was mentioned at the end of the trailer, so perhaps it's an animated version of the Denzel short story, which takes place two years after AC.

Reeve might be right, this short movie is probably about Denzel future.

I don't know about the new novellas, but some kind of "On the Way to a Smile" content has something to do with ACC. Once we know more, we'll post it ^_^

If it does come to dvd (as rumored, keeping fingers crossed) then I will not have to fork out the money for a blu-ray system, which was my plan in the beginning. (no I do not have one like every other american, I am not that rich and have a new baby, so bleh)plus those pesky bills keep popping up...
