FFVII Remake Query Answered Yet Again
During an interview at last week's GamesCom convention in Cologne, Germany, interviewers from VG247 asked Square Enix's Motomu Toriyama and Yoshinori Kitase if Final Fantasy VII will ever be remade. Their reply, through a translator, was that they talk about such a project on a personal level, but there is no remake officially in the works. They also noted that fans can play the original FFVII on PSN for the time being.

Dissidia "International" Edition Being Planned for Japan
In the same vein as the "International" versions of Final Fantasy games, and the Kingdom Hearts series' "Final Mix" rereleases, a new version of Dissidia, titled Dissidia Final Fantasy: Universal Tuning, will come out in Japan on November 1st.
This version will include the Arcade Mode and English-language voices from the Western release, as well as over a hundred new character tuning options. It will be released both as a UMD and as a download from PSN; in addition, save data from the original Japanese version can be transferred to this new one.

Dissidia Ships This Week in North America, Next Week in Europe
Dissidia Final Fantasy is coming out! In North America, it will ship tomorrow, August 25th, and in Europe and other PAL regions, it arrives next Friday, September 4th.
Reviews are starting to roll in, many favorable; Dissidia's Metacritic score currently stands at a healthy 81. Meanwhile, in case you've missed them, the Citadel's own Ex-SOLDIER has posted more custom screens from the Japanese version in the Forums' Dissidia Snapshots thread. The most recent batch includes Judge Gabranth (FFXII), Tidus (FFX), Zidane (FFIX), Kefka (FFVI), and others. Of course, there's plenty of Cloud and Sephiroth as well.
