06/19/2007: "Final Fantasy Dissidia Trailer Now Online"

The Square Enix Party trailer for the company's special Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary project, a PSP action game titled Final Fantasy Dissidia (previously mentioned here), is now online. The trailer shows some impressive bits of gameplay featuring familiar characters from FFI and FFIX, but most importantly for FFVII fans, includes a brief appearance by Sephiroth at the end.

The trailer can be found here.

I was really stoked for this game ever since I first heard about it, but its a damn shame that its for PSP...guess that will be another reason for me to buy the bloody thing if it comes to that.

Also the first link doesn't seem to work, could just be me though.

'bout time they did something like this! And might I add that our Sephiroth always has to make an entrance? I agree with the psp comment, guess I'll have to break down and get one as well.

Fixed the broken link; thanks for pointing that out ^_^

Out of all the FF PSP games, this one looks the most interesting to me. Square doesn't have a very strong history with action games, but Dissidia is looking really cool so far.

Have low expectations.

Be surprised.

I don't even really think it looks good, I hate the action RPG genre. I wish they would go back to traditional turn-based games. That's just me though!

You know, Barret got me thinking, I misst he old RPG's as well, he ones like the american FF2, and Earthbound. To me, they ones with teh movies and all the talking (FFX!) have too little game play!

If you miss classic RPG's, pick up a copy of Dragon Quest VIII. :P

Seconding the Dragon Quest VIII recommendation. It's a great game, and very much a classic, turn-based RPG.
