12/07/2006: "Mini Kingdom Hearts Fanfic Competition, More"

It's that time again: the Citadel is now accepting entries for our latest competition, which is themed around Kingdom Hearts, a favorite game series for many an FFVII fan. Send us your best fanfiction drabble for a chance to win a rare Kingdom Hearts 2007 calendar! Rules and other information about the competition are here; also, please note that the deadline is December 21st, so get your entries in soon!

Elsewhere, the Compilation of FFVII section sees its second exhaustive translation of Advent Children song lyrics today with the addition of a page on "Advent: One Winged Angel". Once again, thanks goes out to Anguipes Seraph for the translation and notes.

Even fewer people know that the snatch of music being played in President Shinra's office when the sector 7 plate falls is from Haydn's The Creation. (specifically, "By thee with Bliss, O Bounteous Lord"; they're singing "ertönen sollt ihr früh und spät von unserm Lobgesang.") Hence why The Creation is mentioned in the end credits.
