05/30/2005: "Odds & Ends"

Happy Memorial Day to all our US visitors! I have a lot of updates to the Citadel today, including some new Compilation of FFVII screenshots, a bit of Dirge of Cerberus news, and information about a couple of Citadel-related contests.

First off, I've finally added a page for Before Crisis screenshots. There's twelve of them in all, including both story and battle images. Also in the Compilation of FFVII section are two new Dirge of Cerberus screenshots; thanks goes out to Thomas.

Speaking of Dirge of Cerberus, it was revealed at E3 that this game will be an action RPG/shooter, or rather a "Gun Action RPG", as a recent issue of Shonen Jump described it. The DC FAQ has been updated with this new information, and more details about the game can be found in a couple interviews with the game's producer, Yoshinori Kitase (sources: GameSpot, IGN).

Also, this is a little late, but CloudANDTidus has pointed us to an 1up.com interview with Tetsuya Nomura, where he talks about Kingdom Hearts II and Advent Children. The part of the interview focused on AC can be read here.

The FFVII Discography has been updated with information on how to find the hidden track on the Reunion Tracks CD; thanks to Ido Alpha Omega for the info! In addition, I've added a cute drawing by Mr. Nomura from the liner notes of the same album, which can also be found via the Discography.

Under Secrets & Mysteries, the Errors, Mistakes, and Contradictions page has been updated with a new insight as to Tseng's age. Cheers to Irreleventuality for sending in his observation.

Finally, the Forums and deviantART Club each have a contest going on. Digital Holocaust is hosting a photography competition for Forum regulars, and ChibiTaryn is currently running a summer-themed FFVII fanart competition at deviantART.
