Game Information Updated

We have a good amount of new and updated pages today, mainly in the Game Information section. First off is a new entry to the FFVII Encyclopedia, Final Fantasy VII Name Origins. This page replaces those on the origins of Sephiroth's name and FFVII's relation to Norse mythology, and also features tons of new entries, including ones for Aeris, Bugenhagen, PHS, Malboro, and others.

Also new in the Game Info section are a couple of small updates to the Miscellaneous Character Cameos listing, as well as a new subsection for press releases, the first entry of which is an official announcement for the Compilation of FFVII.

And speaking of the Compilation of FFVII, there's a new page in that section which explores the hidden meanings behind the Compilation's four titles.

Thanks goes out to everyone who sent me the information and observations featured in today's update!

New Advent Children Trailer

Trailer #4 for Advent Children was posted today on Square Enix's official site. I'm assuming that it's the same trailer I mentioned in an earlier update, so please be aware that you may run into spoilers.

Thanks goes out to Cyrus Dogstar for the tip.

We've Returned to ff7citadel.com!

A little heads-up: the ff7citadel.com domain is now fully active again! Thanks again to those who helped make it happen. Please note that if you have this site bookmarked and/or linked to the ff7citadel.blueshinra.com address, you must change your links to ff7citadel.com-- the mirror address is still good at the moment, but it will be deactivated within the coming weeks. Also, I'm currently setting up a subdomain address for the Forums, so I'll let you all know when that's active.

In other news, the Links page has been updated, as well as the Staff page and IRC Chat FAQ. Finally, please note that at this time, the Citadel is not accepting non-news-related submissions until the current backlog is taken care of. Thanks.

Mysteries Unveiled!

Happy 2005 to you all! This is certainly going to be a good year, especially if Square Enix sticks to its current schedule and releases the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in the coming months. There's never been a better time to be an FF7 fan.

And with that said, three pages in the Secrets & Mysteries pages have been updated. The biggest news is on the page about the game's hidden key items, where it's finally revealed who wrote the "Letter to a Wife"! Also, the "Red Man" in the Desert Prison gets further exploration, and an update has been made regarding the legendary Ghost in the Church. Thanks to everyone who tipped me off about these mysteries!
