12/08/2015: "The FFVII Remake is Powered by Unreal Engine 4"

Epic Games has announced that their own Unreal Engine 4 is being utilized in the production of Final Fantasy VII Remake. UE4 is the latest version of Epic's popular middleware game engine, and, as it happens, is currently being used to create another Square Enix JRPG, the PS4 version of Dragon Quest XI.
