05/18/2011: "Hideo Kojima and the FFVII Remake"

Here's an amusing story. Metal Gear auteur Hideo Kojima had a dinner with series art director Yoji Shinkawa, as well as Square Enix's Yoichi Wada (CEO) and Tetsuya Nomura (producer/character designer). As Andriasang reports: According to Kojima, they talked about a Final Fantasy VII remake! After Kojima Tweeted that he was in a dinner meeting with the three, a follower asked that he tell Nomura to remake FFVII. "I passed it along," replied Kojima.

Kojima's followers also wanted a quick release for the 3DS game Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, as well as a fifth Seiken Densetsu (Mana series) game. Allegedly, Kojima passed along all of these messages, as well as his own personal recommendation that Nomura get a Twitter account.
