08/20/2006: "Site Updates: Dirge of Cerberus, New Articles, More"

The DC FAQ and DC Images & Media pages have been updated with new info and wallpapers, respectively.

And speaking of DC, I've written up a review of the game (the short version: DC is decent but not great). In addition, there are two other new articles up, "Aeris: Daughter of Jenova?" by Lunaris Victoria and "A Gap Already Filled" by me. All three of these articles can be found in the "2006" subsection of the Article Archive.

Also, there's a new game available in the Downloads section, FF7 Mastermind by Daniel Shorten. And under Game Information, the FFVII Name Origins page has seen a small revision.

Finally, as those of you on the Forums may already be aware, Reno is taking a hiatus from his duties as an Administrator. As Jin is filling in for him during this time, I'd like to take this opportunity to officially welcome him aboard!

This is a good review of DoC, it anylyzes deep enough and the comparison to FFVII for the story and FFX-2 for the battle system is really helpful.Iīve read many reviews from online magazines and various reviews and couldnīt get a clear picture of DoC until I read Reeveīs review. Thanks Reeve for the DoC review :)

Yes, this seemed like a real review, and not as biased as some others I've read. Judging by most people's reactions however, I think I'll most definitely rent this game before I decide to buy it.

One of the best reviews out there, but I think you should have at least touched a little on all of the extra content and unlockables that have kept me buisy hours after i finnished DOC!

Ahh, but I still have to find the time to finish the main story mode (I am close to the end, though!). Not to say that I'm not looking forward to the extras, but for the review, I pretty much just wanted to cover the basics ^_^

And thanks for the kind words overall, guys! This is the sort of game that I'd say "rent first" or "wait until it drops in price", but if you're an FF7 fan and must have it now... well, I don't blame you ^_~

Reeve, we need an edit option on the article reviews for people like me who sometimes make... assumptions >_< Blech.
