Rumors are used all the time by video game companies. If they're false rumors, they can be used to see how many people are looking forward to a certain game or remake; FFVII, for example. If the response is negligible to negative, they can just cancel the remake. If the rumors are true, then they are used to build suspense. Either way, this is how I see it: If you want there to be a remake, write in to them suporting the idea (I have no doubt that most people on this forum would, indeed, support this.) If you could care less one way or the other, DON'T SPOIL IT FOR THOSE OF US WHO DO!! I, for one, suport the remake, and even talked to an employee the other day who said they were working on the graphics for it already, calling it "Beyond Final Fantasy."

This rumour is bullshit i have heard from VERY reliable sources that there won't be a remake AT ALL. and think about it even if there were would you really want it? I am planted firmly aginst it, why because i have thought far enough ahead to realize that the negatives far outweigh the positives. I have realized that square will not stop with just improving the graphics they will undoubtably try to mess with the gameplay and the battle system to.who knows what else they will change. Does anybody know who we should write to so i can show my support for the remake. Honestly, i hope they remake it and put in all the things they left out from the original version, also i hope they dont change the battle systems to ff12 cause in my opinion it sucks. Its the playstation 3 some change might be good like instead of cloud always attacking the same way he could slash with different techique, they could also do some great things with the limit break. Use the same system like in kingdom hearts 2. I think we should vioce what we want, they have to listen because they are pimping the ff7 name with all the other spin offs so in a way they owe us and the game due respect. I'd like them to make a remake largely because I feel that there were things that were simply dropped from the game in order to make deadline. As it was, FFVII was pushed back a number of times from being released at an earlier date. It'd be nice to get more CGIs, more detail on storyline when possible, added materia and places to explore...that sort of thing.
No need to tweak the story, if that happened *I* would tweak out. Aeris needs to stay dead...honestly, who cared about her until she did die? That's why she has a place in all of us diehard FFVII fans' hearts.
Guess we can all just hope for the best.
