Dissidia Duodecim News and Trailers

Lots of tidbits of info about Dissidia Duodecim have been coming out this week. First off, there's a big article about the game in the latest Famitsu. In addition to details revolving around the latest character reveal—FFVIII favorite Laguna Loire—the story mode's recently revealed "World Map" is also discussed. Expect battle encounters via this map, as well as no towns (there will, however, be "special" shops), plus a character party setup reminiscent of the one in FFVI.

Next up: new battle trailers! A video of Tifa taking on FFXII's Vaan is one of the two clips that went up on the official site this week; the other one features Laguna vs. Lightning (FFXIII).

Finally, this weekend, Dissidia Duodecim will be making an appearance at the annual Jump Festa event in Tokyo. This time around, Tifa, Laguna, and Vaan will be playable with assist characters (Tifa's assist is Cloud). Sephiroth will also be playable, with Garland as his assist.
