FFVII Finally Arrives on Steam
If you follow the Citadel's Twitter feed, you might have heard the news already, but in case you haven't, Final Fantasy VII PC is now available for purchase on Steam.
Caveat Emptor: according to commenters on the PC gaming news site Rock, Paper, Shotgun, this downloadable version is apparently the same that Square Enix released themselves, problematic DRM and all.

Lightning Returns... as Cloud
The preorder bonuses for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the third game in the FFXIII series, have been revealed, and one of them is FFVII related! Namely, a DLC code for Cloud Strife's SOLDIER uniform, SOLIDER band, Buster Sword, and victory fanfare pose. The design of these items resembles those we've previously seen in Crisis Core and the infamous PS3 tech demo; here's a trailer showing off these goodies.
This DLC is available for preorders in North America, and if you live in Europe or another PAL territory, you not only get this code, but also one for samurai gear and a steelbook case.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII releases on February 11 in North America and February 14 in Europe.
