06/06/2021: "Intergrade previews and First Soldier closed beta"
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is less than a week away, releasing on 10th June on PlayStation 5. In the run up to the release we've seen video previews released, such as this one from PlayStation Access and this one from IGN.
The PlayStation Blog has also released a short interview with Director Tetsuya Nomura. While the interview doesn't have any massive revelations, Nomura did comment on why Episode INTERmission stars Yuffie as the playable character. "The overarching story follows the original, so considering where this lies in the storyline, Vincent is still in his slumber and Cid is on Shinra’s side, so Yuffie was the only one who would be able to move freely." Nomura explained. We also got treated to a new drawing of Yuffie in her moogle disguise.
In other Intergrade news, it appears the move to PS5 wont get you any hard drive space back, as the game weighs in at around 81GB, a slight reduction from Remakes 86GB. It also sounds like the process of transfering your saves from PS4 to PS5 is less than ideal.
Finally, the closed beta test for The First Soldier is currently running. Android Police describes the game as "somewhat competent" and you can check out their gameplay video here. Aitaikimochi on Twitter has also shared the excellent menu music.
