05/11/2019: "New Remake teaser shown on Sony's State of Play"
Square Enix has broken their silence on the Final Fantasy VII Remake project on Sony's second State of Play stream. On the stream they showed a new teaser trailer for the game which you can watch on YouTube. Over on the PlayStation Blog Producer Yoshinori Kitase promised more information coming in June, which will most likely be at E3.
Announced in 2015, the Remake was originally going to be developed by external studio CyberConnect2 and would be released in multiple parts. Square has since moved development entirely in-house, however many outlets including RPG Site have reported that they still plan to release the game "as partitioned titles".
