02/20/2014: ""Shinra Company" Trademark Filed"

Late last year in Japan, Square Enix filed a trademark for "Shinra Company". What this name will be used for is anyone's guess at this point. It's worth noting that Square Enix Products has released Shinra-themed goods in the past, but it's unclear whether this is related or not.

As usual, if there's any significant developments, we'll keep you posted.

I think it's toys! No, I want it to be toys. The toy distributing Shinra Company.
- But realistically that's strange since FF7 is just part of their toys.

It could also be an MMO where everybody work their way up as soldiers or even turks.

Just to clarify, they renewed a copyright on "Shinra Company" as the old one was reaching it's 10 year expiry limit. I only hope that it means they will continue to manufacture Shinra themed products in the future.
