09/29/2010: "Before Crisis Director Wants to Remake the Game for 3DS"

In response to recent game announcements for the Nintendo 3DS, Hajime Tabata, the director of Before Crisis and Crisis Core, recently posted the following on the Twitter account for The 3rd Birthday: If I were to make something for 3DS, I suppose it would be a remake of Before Crisis Final Fantasy VII. I'd redo the scenario structure and game design for the 3DS. I think I'd like to make an action RPG BCFF7 where a large number of Turks players play simultaneously.

Readers should not take this as an official confirmation of a 3D Before Crisis remake. However, Tabata did note that Square Enix coworkers Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase would also like to make this game. Whether or not it actually comes to pass is anyone's guess, especially since Tabata is currently busy not only with The 3rd Birthday, but the long-awaited Final Fantasy Agito XIII as well.
