09/08/2010: "Dissidia Sequel Announced; Coming in 2011"
Manga magazine Shonen Jump revealed that the sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy is currently in development. This sequel's title is Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy and, like its predecessor, is a PSP exclusive. A vague release window of "2011" was also given, presumably just for Japan.
As for the characters who will be making appearances this time around, the only ones confirmed so far are FFIV's Kain Highwind and FFXIII's Lightning. With the Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, we'll probably learn a lot more about this game in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned!
