06/29/2005: "Advent Children's UMD Release and Preorder Info"

GameSpot reported today that the UMD release of Advent Children will be coming out in Japan the same day as the DVD. This ends some speculation as to the UMD release date, and it seems that one format won't be favored over the other after all. Also coming out in Japan this September is the official AC soundtrack, which we presume will be published by Square Enix.

Second, for all you FFVII fans in N. America, I got a tip today that Gamestop is now taking preorders for the Region 1 DVD release of AC. Also, even though a UMD release date for N. America is (as far as we know) still pending, preorders are now being taken for this version at places like Best Buy and EB Games.
