   There is a small island that doesn't appear on the map (bottom left of
   the map is where it should appear). On this island you fight the
   cactrot (from Final Fantasy III). Does anyone know if you can get any
   special items from them (perhaps by turning them into an item)? I
   would have tried it but I don't have the orb yet.

   Nope, It gives quite useful Accessory. I forgot its name but it
   absorbs fire, ice, earth, and thunder attack.                
   The way to get the item is to kill it with command "henka". Yufi's
   best weapon works very well with that command.

   I'm not sure, but when the old man goes to shell village to
   "ressurect" Aerith, he talks about the magic Holy. I guess the     
   Aerith's bead that falls into water when she dies is the Holy materia.
   Ah, besides, can someone tell what is "BAKUSA"??

   him so I don't know is it true or not. :) But I believe that everyone
   here is the

   When Final Fantasy VII is translated for the U.S.
   version, will they change the name to FF4?
           
   If they kept the title to FF7, it would be very
   wierd. I mean there would be a gap in the numbers.

   If they change to FF4, what would happen if they remake
   Japanese FF1, 2, 3 and translated to the U.S.?

   FF4 U.S. - FF7 Jap
   FF5 U.S. - FF1 Jap

   The graphics would look really bad for U.S. FF5-7 after

   top there's a door but you can't go could something 
   important be in here and could the key to opening
   the door have something to do with Sephiroth's sword????

Happy to find most puzzles in my head to be solved by you, I didn't
   expect to find you in here (one of square FF team involved in this
   board).
   I have questions, hope you can answer it:
   
1- Is final fantasy (1-6 remake)going to have a great look "3D or
   advanced graphics" than the available on SNES couse we've done with
   SNES and we already have all the FF collection (1-3 US and 1-6
   Japanese)?
   
2- As i'm a big RPG fan, I have collected many RPG's and still have
   them. For example Konami's "GENSO SUIKODEN", the ORIGENAL jap cover
   has a great look while the US cover is the worst! Is final fantasy 7
   cover going to be changed?

   3- Is it posible to hear a great advanced cd quality music on PSX FF
   (1-6 remake) or it will have the same as SNES?

   : 1- Is final fantasy (1-6 remake)going to have a great look "3D or
   advanced graphics" than the available on SNES couse we've done with
   SNES and we already have all the FF collection (1-3 US and 1-6
   Japanese)?

Key scenes in each game will be CG rendered (FMV), and tweaked
   graphics, but no new 3D engines...

   : 2- As i'm a big RPG fan, I have collected many RPG's and still have
   them. For example Konami's "GENSO SUIKODEN", the ORIGENAL jap cover
   has a great look while the US cover is the worst! Is final fantasy 7
   cover going to be changed?
   
We're working on the cover right now, and it WILL NOT be changed by a
   lot...
   
: 3- Is it posible to hear a great advanced cd quality music on PSX FF
   (1-6 remake) or it will have the same as SNES?

   you can't because you work for Square BELIEVE me I understand).

   1. Are the Final Fantasy Remakes (1-6) coming to America? I know Sony
   has the rights (do they?) to distribute your games in America.
   Wouldn't they balk at releasing Classic RPGs (considering they didn't
   even release Ark the Lad here)?

   2. Also, since I am importing FF4 (not going to take the chance of  
   question one being no...), will it be based on the japanese "hard"
   version with the added stuff in the last level and the stripper in the
   first town?

   3. Also, the "old" Square released tha Japanese CD soundtracks in
   America...any chance you guys will do the same with the newer PS
   games? Just curious (Yep...already importing the box set for FF7!)   
               
   4. Also, a gameplay question...but this is one everyone knows the
   answer to so they shouldn't have to much of a probleming it. Is
   it possible to still get the 4th materia if you lost the sub game the
   first time you played it (and then went back to get the red sub?).
   Please can you tell me? If I can't...I'll have to start over, but I
   want to know first!
